Culinary Coordinator
In-Office Position
Position Responsibilities:
- Initiating and maintaining fluid email communication with all AFE teams
- Initiating and maintaining fluid email communication with AFE culinary vendors
- Printing culinary event pack out sheets on colored paper
- Assisting in keeping track of guest count changes and menu changes
- Seeing through that the updated information is translated to the correct culinary team member
- Scanning menus for specialty items that will be ordered through a third party
- Making menu copies for event travel file
- Scanning menus with quantities into event file on server
- Monthly coding and scanning all culinary department receipts for Accounting
- Maintaining a process in which all culinary recipes are electronically recorded in real time
- Updating AFE Protein Pricing Sheet and distributing copies to appropriate departments
- Photographing new menu items, tasting items and adding photos to server
- Assisting Director of Culinary Operations in ordering specialty vendor items
- Event note distribution to all chefs working events
- Running department errands
- Maintaining a timeline on Culinary Department special projects to ensure they are completed on time and distributed
- Attending department meetings, weekly Production meeting and in-house sub-event meetings
- Assisting Director of Culinary Operations in forecasting menus
- Alerting chefs of abnormal requests
Skills & Experience
- At least one year of administrative assistance experience required
- Culinary industry experience greatly preferred
- Spanish speaking and writing abilities encouraged
- Self-motivated, proactive, energetic, creative and determined
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and can handle obstacles with grace
Description of Package
- Daily office hours: 7am-3pm
- Evening and Weekend event hours: dependent on calendar and schedule of events
- 3 Month Employee Introductory Period Review plus May performance/compensation review
