Logistics Coordinator

A Fare Extraordinaire (AFE), a catering and event planning company, is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to work with its logistics team in the Houston, TX warehouse. The Logistics Coordinator duties include maintenance of rental inventory of event equipment (tables, chairs, china, flatware, etc.), making deliveries and pickups, and warehouse assistance. The position also includes setting up and breaking down rental equipment at events onsite, routine vehicle fleet maintenance, and other warehouse duties as needed. The Logistics Coordinator will report to the Logistics Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Pull rental equipment, such as tables, chairs, china, flatware, and glassware, from inventory based on event rental order
  • Stage rental equipment from rental order in the correct area in loading dock
  • As needed, load rental orders into delivery vehicles
  • Deliver and pick up rental orders to venues and residences as directed by Logistics Manager
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other rental equipment based on diagrams and Managers’ direction
  • Restock rental equipment to warehouse shelves
  • Complete rental equipment inventory counts
  • Create and revise rental tickets
  • Assist with checking in vendor deliveries to AFE warehouse
  • As needed, assist with AFE vehicle fleet maintenance
  • Attend weekly meetings with Logistics Manager to review calendar, inventory needs, and scheduling
  • Be available for cross utilization in other Logistics tasks as directed by Logistics Manager
    • Cross-over to dish pit if needed
    • Assist with washing, polishing, and repackaging of rental inventory

skills & Experience

  • Ability to work 8 AM – 2 PM plus regular night and weekend shifts based on AFE event calendar
  • Has a current driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Collaborative worker who is willing to help where needed
  • Event experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented nature
  • Ability to be trained in catering and rental software programs
